Happy fall equinox y’all. 🔥. This is an older piece resin layered on lucite with a special backing designed with @hammeronsteel to give the painting the appearance of floating on the wall. Welcoming back this sweet season today. Photo by @jochat A little reflection from @chaninicholas as the days get shorter: “As the darkness closes in around the corners of our garden, possibility gets passed over for repercussions. We remember that death is a part of our life’s process. There is no evading this aspect of the Great Goddess, there is only living a good, deep, and meaningful life in light of our eventual release from it. Our impending end is supposed to make the moments here more meaningful. We don’t get forever, but we do get this life, for now.”

Another work in progress of an 8x8?painting for Suzanne on glass. This will be sent home in a lovely handmade steel frame by @katierayrich. She bough it for $250. I’m working on my newsletter to announce October classes and an opportunity to have your own memories or inspirations painted for $100 on paper. They will be on rich cotton Arches and mailed home. I’ll have 10 spots available. But also, I want to give you a sense of price for framed paintings on glass. Love to you on this Wednesday.
Tiny messages of love from Suzanne to Ian 8”x8” got the generals in and now for love in the details.
If someone gets mad at you because you won’t do free work, don’t ask yourself why you’re so selfish, ask them why they think they deserve your time for nothing? #Onward.
A painting for a client from @assemble! Thanks Justin! As you can see, barn swallows are still pretty great little buddies.
I’ve shared this piece before, but never what it has meant to me. It means living in your truth—the one that quickens your blood, the one that may disappoint others because it’s not what they find convenient. This is the freedom to let the biggest part of you delve into the deep unknown in order to live and love and show up stronger for your vibrant heart and planet. Sometimes it sadly means that I let people live their best life because I’m not in it. I have this one short timespan and it’s not going to be bowing to rules that someone else made that hurt my well-being. I show up for a womyns right to choose her health, safety, and sanity over and over —boldly, quietly, loudly, softly, with spikes at times — at my pace and in line with my hard learned integrity. Choice is no one else’s right to take away or manipulate. Choice is mine. I’m not giving it up to make it seemingly easier for 15 minutes of happiness to quickly burn up the superficial kindling. That fire will always be hungry for more. Happiness is fleeting. Sadness is fleeting. Life is finite. Power to the creative spirit that lives in us all and propels us forward to reimagine possibility.
Barn swallows are people too! I love their tiny almost grouchy faces and the way they sit on long field wires yelling to each other. 💙. This little buddy is available in my store. Resin layered painting on glass with steel frame made by @katierayrich. Link in bio
