What begins as recycled plastic ends as something you might mistake for porcelain. Painted by hand with ground minerals like blue lapis and green malachite, pigments that have colored objects for thousands of years. Each frame is 3D printed into ornamental forms: botanical scrolls, shell-encrusted borders, figures of antiquity. Made to hold a painting, a mirror, a memory.

The Three Graces Ornate Mirror
The Three Graces rise from a tangle of corals, sea shells and sea urchins — figures from mythology surfacing through the relics of a living reef. Designed in the tradition of the Italian Baroque: ornate, excessive, unapologetically beautiful. Built from the material our culture treats as throwaway. Instead it becomes art.
Printed in recycled PETG, sculpted with hot tools, hand-finished and signed in my Western Massachusetts studio.
